The maps for Kansas' legislative districts for both the House and Senate were passed and ratified during the 2022 Session following the decennial census conducted in 2020 and 2021. This process, known as redistricting, is not scheduled to occur again until the year 2032 following the decennial census to be conducted in 2030 and 2031.
The 86th District is located in South Wichita and has a population of around 24,400 people (2023). The District includes includes the following neighborhoods:
